Social Proof Cascade in Live Commerce (2D)
Interactive 2D model of a live-shopping stream: a purchase-notification cascade spreads across a viewer network driven by social proof, influencer reach and shrinking-stock scarcity urgency, with a live network map, strip charts and cascade-depth readouts.
A live-shopping stream is modelled as a network of 140 viewers arranged on a golden-angle spiral around a central influencer node. Each frame, unbought viewers are tested against a logistic purchase-probability function built from three real drivers of social commerce: direct influencer reach, social proof from already-purchasing neighbours in the viewer graph, and scarcity urgency as a fixed stock pool depletes. Watch purchase notifications ripple outward from directly-reached viewers into their neighbourhoods on the live network map — a real information cascade, not a scripted animation — while a strip chart tracks stock, conversion rate and cascade depth over time, and the direct-vs-social-proof purchase split updates live. Drag to rotate the network, drag vertically to tilt it, scroll to zoom, and tune influencer reach, social-proof weight, scarcity weight, initial stock and playback speed to see how each lever reshapes the sellout curve.
