Cell Mitosis: Chromosomal Division (2D)

2D top-down mitosis simulator: watch chromosomes condense, align on the metaphase plate, separate toward opposite poles, and split into two daughter cells, with controls for cycle speed, chromosome separation speed and spindle-fiber visibility.

This 2D companion drives the same phase-timeline model as the 3D version — interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase — from a flat top-down view so the choreography of chromosome condensation, alignment and separation reads clearly at a glance. Six simplified chromosomes stand in for the real 46, spindle fibers connect each one to its pole during metaphase and anaphase, and the cell visibly pinches and splits into two daughter cells at the end of the cycle before resetting.
