Tissue Scaffold Seeding Density Simulator

Seed a 3D porous tissue scaffold with living cells at a tunable density and watch it develop: too sparse leaves cells isolated and poorly organized, too dense starves the scaffold's core of oxygen into a necrotic center, and an intermediate density grows uniformly healthy engineered tissue.

When engineers seed living cells onto a porous 3D scaffold to grow replacement tissue, the initial seeding density decides whether the culture succeeds. This simulator lets you pick that density, then watches the tissue develop over simulated days: cells that end up isolated from their neighbors fail to organize, cells trapped in an oxygen-starved core turn necrotic, and only an intermediate density supports uniform, healthy growth throughout the whole scaffold.

⚙ Under the hood

Seed a 3D porous tissue scaffold with living cells at a tunable density and watch it develop over simulated days: too sparse leaves cells isolated with poor cell-to-cell organization, too dense starves the scaffold's oxygen-diffusion-limited core into a necrotic center, and an intermediate density grows uniform, healthy engineered tissue throughout.
