🧪 Medical Advanced Surgical Simulation
Interactive 3D electrosurgery simulator: drag a monopolar cautery tip across a tissue block and watch real Joule-heating diffusion drive protein denaturation, coagulation, desiccation and carbonisation, while you try to seal buried vessels without charring them.
This simulation models the physics an operating-room electrosurgical (Bovie) unit relies on: radio-frequency current concentrated under a small electrode tip heats tissue by resistance, and that heat spreads by real thermal diffusion, cooled by simulated blood perfusion. Drag the electrode across a 3D tissue block in Cut mode to vaporise a groove, or switch to Coagulate mode and hold the tip over one of the two embedded vessel markers to drive it through the 60–70 °C protein-denaturation window and seal it — without pushing it past the carbonisation threshold, which chars the vessel wall and produces a poor, failure-prone seal. Live readouts track peak tissue temperature, char coverage, and how many of the two vessels you have successfully sealed.
This simulation demonstrates the principles of advanced surgical techniques and procedures, allowing users to practice complex maneuvers in a controlled environment. It focuses on precision and accuracy within a medical setting.
