Double Circulation Loop (2D)

2D cross-section of the human heart driving both circuits at once: watch deoxygenated blood loop from body to right heart to lungs, and oxygenated blood loop from lungs to left heart back to the body, with real heart-rate-dependent systole/diastole timing and live cardiac-output readouts.

This 2D canvas simulator draws the heart as a four-chamber cross-section wired into both circuits of human blood flow at once: deoxygenated blood loops from the body into the right atrium and ventricle, out to the lungs, while oxygenated blood loops from the lungs into the left atrium and ventricle, out to the rest of the body, exactly as the two circuits run in series in a real heartbeat. Drag the heart-rate slider and watch systole and diastole compress in the physiologically correct way – systole stays nearly fixed while diastole shrinks – and follow the live cardiac-output, circulation-time and valve-timing readouts update in real time.

⚙ Under the hood

2D cross-section companion to the 3D Heart simulator that lays out both circuits of human blood flow at once — deoxygenated blood looping from the body through the right heart to the lungs, and oxygenated blood looping from the lungs through the left heart back to the body — with heart-rate-driven systole/diastole timing, valve-state indicators and live cardiac-output readouts.
