Metabolic syndrome isn't diagnosed from a single blood test — it's a threshold count over five independent cardiometabolic markers (waist circumference, triglycerides, HDL cholesterol, blood pressure and fasting glucose) defined by the NCEP ATP III clinical criteria. This simulator drops your patient into a live 3D cloud of 400 synthetic cohort members generated from a shared latent risk factor, so the real-world correlation between abdominal fat, dyslipidaemia and glucose intolerance is visible as a diagonal stretch in the cloud rather than a scattered blob. Five sliders drive the exact clinical thresholds, a sex toggle switches the waist/HDL cutoffs that differ by biological sex, and live readouts track how many of the 5 criteria are met, the diagnosis itself, your percentile against the synthetic cohort, and a continuous distance-weighted risk score that keeps discriminating between two patients who both cross the same integer criteria count.
