Hospital BLE Asset Tracker: RSSI Trilateration

Interactive 3D simulator of hospital Bluetooth Low Energy real-time locating: a tagged infusion pump broadcasts BLE, fixed beacon receivers convert signal strength to distance via a log-distance path-loss model, and a least-squares solver trilaterates its position under adjustable noise.

Real-time locating systems (RTLS) are the "where's the equipment" layer of a connected smart hospital — a Bluetooth Low Energy tag on an infusion pump broadcasts continuously, and a grid of fixed ceiling beacons converts the signal strength of every packet they hear into a distance estimate via the log-distance path-loss model. This simulator renders that floor plan in 3D: a tagged asset patrols a route while beacons compute noisy distance estimates and a least-squares multilateration solver reconstructs its position in real time. Adjustable RSSI noise, path-loss exponent and beacon count let you see directly how signal-strength localization degrades under real-world radio conditions, with live readouts of position error and the estimated coordinates next to the ground truth.
