Dielectric elastomer actuators are one of the leading "smart material" families used in soft robotics: a thin rubber film between two flexible electrodes contracts in thickness and expands in area purely from an applied electric field, with no motors or gears. This simulator renders a real 3D actuator film and drives it with the actual Maxwell-stress physics — electrostatic pressure p = ε₀εᵣE² squeezing an incompressible elastomer — across three real actuator materials, a mechanical bias load, and adjustable film thickness, with live field, pressure and strain readouts and a breakdown warning when the field gets too high.
