2D Carbon Nanotube Interconnect: Ballistic-to-Diffusive Resistance Map

2D companion to the 3D carbon-nanotube interconnect scene: the same Landauer-Büttiker ballistic-vs-diffusive transport, read off a live top-down electron flow lane plus a resistance-vs-length curve showing the quantum-contact plateau and the Ohmic crossover.

This is the 2D counterpart to the 3D carbon-nanotube interconnect scene, computing the identical Landauer-Büttiker transport mechanism through a top-down electron-flow lane and an analytic curve instead of a rotatable rendered tube bundle: electrons stream through a bundle of metallic single-wall carbon nanotubes between two contact electrodes, flashing red at each scattering event, while a live resistance-vs-length curve plots the quantum-contact plateau and its Ohmic crossover for the current mean free path and bundle size. Dial the interconnect length, mean free path and bundle count to see the ballistic-to-diffusive transition play out both as flowing electrons and as a shifting point on the curve.
