Aurora Current: Charged Particle Flow (2D)

2D aurora-current lab: charged particles confined to a ring by a radial spring, driven around it by a tangential drift and perturbed by a divergence-free curl-noise field, with a live speed and radius readout.

This 2D companion turns the 3D Aurora Current scene into a top-down instrument: a ring of charged particles is held near a target radius by a radial spring, carried around the ring by a tangential drift representing the current, and perturbed by a divergence-free curl-noise field standing in for turbulence in the field-line bundle; a live readout tracks the mean particle speed and ring radius as you adjust confinement, drift speed and turbulence.
