IoT Sensor Node Battery Life Simulator

Interactive 3D simulator of an IoT sensor node's battery life: pick a radio protocol (LoRaWAN SF7/SF9/SF12, NB-IoT, BLE), tune the report interval, payload size and sleep current, and watch the real time-on-air, duty cycle and projected battery lifetime.

A battery-powered IoT sensor spends nearly its entire life asleep, waking only for a few milliseconds to transmit a reading — so its lifetime is decided almost entirely by that brief radio burst. This simulator models a real 3D sensor node reporting to a gateway and computes its true time-on-air using the actual LoRaWAN airtime formula (spreading factor, bandwidth, coding rate), alongside NB-IoT and BLE alternatives, then derives the duty cycle, average current draw and projected battery lifetime from the report interval, payload size and sleep current you choose. Watch the radio pulse rate and the battery gauge respond live as you trade range and reliability for months or years of runtime.
