RLS Dopaminergic Mechanism Simulator (3D)

A full 3D basal ganglia circuit — orbitable neuron ring, flowing dopamine particles, iron/TH-enzyme bar gauges and a 24-hour circadian amplitude ring — modeling how iron deficiency and evening circadian dips drive restless legs syndrome symptoms.

RLS Dopaminergic Mechanism — full 3D circuit model

A genuine Three.js/WebGL companion to the 2D RLS Dopaminergic Mechanism Simulator: the same iron-level and time-of-day model, now rendered as an orbitable 3D circuit — a basal ganglia neuron ring with flowing dopamine particles, iron/TH-enzyme bar gauges, a 24-hour circadian amplitude ring, and a pulsing urge-to-move trigger at the final stage.

  • Iron / ferritin level: drives tyrosine-hydroxylase-limited dopamine synthesis capacity.
  • Time of day: drives the circadian worsening curve, peaking in the evening/night.
  • daSignal = iron × (1 − 0.35 × circadian worsening): the core dopaminergic signaling metric, ported verbatim from the 2D model.

Five staged mechanisms

Basal ganglia dopamine pathway role, iron deficiency's effect on synthesis, reduced signaling consequences, circadian evening worsening, and the urge-to-move sensorimotor trigger — each stage highlights a different part of the same 3D circuit.
