GPR Wavefield & Radargram Simulator (2D)
A genuine 2D finite-difference simulation of the georadar pulse itself: an electromagnetic wavefield propagates through a soil cross-section, reflects off a buried pipe and void, and the radargram is built trace by trace from the simulated field.
This is the 2D counterpart to the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Survey Simulator. Rather than rendering a 3-D soil block and computing reflector arrival times from a geometric formula, it solves the 2-D scalar wave equation on a grid representing the true position–depth cross-section beneath the survey line, letting the reflection hyperbolas emerge from a genuine simulated electromagnetic pulse bouncing off a buried pipe and a subsurface void. The radargram panel is assembled trace by trace directly from the simulated field, the same way real GPR forward-modelling software builds a synthetic B-scan.
