This is the 2D counterpart to the Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Survey Simulator. Rather than rendering a 3-D soil block and computing reflector arrival times from a geometric formula, it solves the 2-D scalar wave equation on a grid representing the true position–depth cross-section beneath the survey line, letting the reflection hyperbolas emerge from a genuine simulated electromagnetic pulse bouncing off a buried pipe and a subsurface void. The radargram panel is assembled trace by trace directly from the simulated field, the same way real GPR forward-modelling software builds a synthetic B-scan.
