Kaleidoscope Wedge Symmetry: N-Fold Mirrored Pattern (2D)
A single wedge of shapes, cloned and mirrored around the center N times, builds the full kaleidoscope pattern live — adjust the fold count, shape density, rotation and hue-cycle speed to see how radial symmetry is assembled from one repeating unit.
This 2D companion rebuilds the same kaleidoscope idea as the 3D version — one small "wedge" of shapes, duplicated and mirrored around the center to form a repeating radial pattern — but as a flat canvas view with the mechanics exposed instead of hidden behind an orbiting camera. A slider sets the fold count directly (how many times the wedge repeats around the circle), another sets how many shapes live inside each wedge, and alternate wedges can be mirrored on or off to show exactly how true kaleidoscope symmetry differs from simple rotational copying: mirroring flips every other wedge left-to-right so edges line up like a reflection in glass, while turning it off leaves visible seams between repeats.
Canvas 2D kaleidoscope built from one repeating wedge template, cloned and rotated around the center for N-fold radial symmetry, with alternate wedges mirrored to reproduce true kaleidoscope reflection instead of plain rotation.
