🧪 Athletic Jumping Simulation
Interactive countermovement-jump simulator: tune leg power, crouch depth and arm swing to see how ground-reaction impulse sets takeoff velocity, jump height and hang time for a real athletic vertical jump.
This simulation demonstrates the biomechanics of a real countermovement vertical jump: a stylized 3D athlete crouches, drives explosively off the ground, and flies through a physically computed parabolic arc. Every jump is governed by the impulse–momentum theorem — you set leg power (peak ground-reaction force as a multiple of body weight), crouch depth (push-off distance) and arm-swing contribution, and the simulator derives takeoff velocity, jump height and hang time from those inputs exactly as a sports-biomechanics lab would, then animates the push-off, flight and landing with a dust-puff impact and a rising personal-best tracker.
This simulation demonstrates the principles of vertical jumping, allowing users to adjust parameters like leg power and arm swing to maximize jump height.
