🏀 Bouncing Ball Simulation (2D)

Side-view 2D restitution lab: choose a ball type, drop height, restitution and gravity, then drop the ball and watch its bounce height, speed and energy decay live.

This 2D companion drives the same restitution physics as the 3D original — drop height, coefficient of restitution, gravity and per-ball-type friction — through a side-view Canvas2D scene instead of an orbiting 3D scene, so the bounce-height decay and energy loss are easier to read directly off the trail and the live readout panel.

⚙ Under the hood

Side-view 2D bouncing-ball lab with adjustable drop height, restitution and gravity; sub-stepped integration with an analytic settle cutoff avoids an infinite tail of micro-bounces.
