Stress Ball Squeeze Physics (2D)
Interactive 2D mass-spring stress ball: click and drag to squeeze a soft-body ring, watch Hooke's-law springs and a volume-preservation pressure force push the rest of the ball outward, then viscoelastic damping settles it back round.
This top-down cross-section simulator models a squeezable foam/gel stress ball as a ring of point masses joined by Hooke's-law springs, with a volume-preservation pressure force that pushes the rest of the ball outward wherever you dent it. Click and drag anywhere on the ball to squeeze it, then release and watch viscoelastic damping settle it back to round. Adjust stiffness and damping to feel the difference between a stiff rubber ball and a soft, slow-recovering foam one.
2D mass-spring ring with a polygon-area pressure force for volume preservation and viscoelastic (Kelvin-Voigt) damping on both the edge springs and the pressure response.
