🔬 What It Demonstrates
Forager flight activity depends on both weather (temperature and wind thresholds) and surrounding forage availability (planting density), and hive weight trend and a composite habitat impact score are derived from both together — the same logic behind pairing weather-station and scale-hive data with habitat surveys.
🎮 How to Use
Adjust air temperature, humidity, wind speed and pollinator planting density. Watch the anemometer spin, flowers bloom or thin out in the habitat plot, forager bees fly between hive and plot, and the sensor readouts and habitat impact score update in real time.
💡 Did You Know?
Honeybees generally stop foraging below about 12–13°C and in sustained winds above roughly 9 m/s, which is why apiary weather logs are often cross-checked against hive-scale nectar-flow data before drawing conclusions about habitat quality.
