🧪 Quality Quality Assurance Simulation
Interactive multi-station quality-assurance line: units flow through inspection stations, defects get caught and reworked, and you tune each station's inspection effectiveness while watching Rolled Throughput Yield and DPMO update live in 3D.
This simulator models the core mechanic of an industrial quality-assurance process: a multi-station inspection line that units flow through in real time. Every unit spawns with a probability of carrying a hidden defect, then travels past a chain of inspection stations, each with an adjustable detection effectiveness. A caught defect is sent to rework; a missed one silently escapes downstream — exactly the "hidden factory" behaviour that makes Rolled Throughput Yield (RTY) always lower than any single station's yield. Tune each station's rigor, adjust the incoming defect rate, or apply a corrective action to fix the process at its source, and watch RTY, estimated defects-per-million-opportunities (DPMO), and shipped/scrapped counts update live as units stream through the 3D line.
This simulation models the entire quality assurance process, from planning to execution. Users can manage audits, inspections, and corrective actions in a 2D environment.
