🧪 Environmental Technology Air Purification Simulation
Interactive 3D electrostatic precipitator simulator: charge and collect airborne particles with a real corona discharge field, tune plate voltage, gas velocity and particle size, and watch collection efficiency follow the Deutsch-Anderson equation live.
This simulator models the electrostatic precipitator (ESP), the workhorse air-purification technology behind particulate control on power plants, cement kilns and industrial stacks. A charged corona wire ionises the gas stream and each dust particle picks up charge proportional to the square of its diameter, then drifts sideways across the flow toward grounded collection plates under the applied electric field. Tune plate voltage, gas velocity, particle size and dust feed rate, watch the Deutsch-Anderson collection efficiency and drift velocity update live from the real governing equations, and periodically rap the plates to release the accumulated dust cake into the hopper — exactly as full-scale ESPs are operated.
This simulation demonstrates the principles of air purification technologies. Users can explore different methods for removing pollutants from the atmosphere and assess their effectiveness.
