3D Gear Train Simulator

Interactive 3D gear-train simulator: watch physically meshed spur gears on real axles turn, tune tooth counts, input speed and load, and orbit around the mechanism as it drives torque through the train.

Where the 2D companion simulation reduces a gear train to a torque/speed diagram, this version builds the actual mechanism: three spur gears with extruded, meshing teeth spin on real axles in 3D, driven, idled and reduced exactly as the tooth-count physics dictates. Orbit around the assembly to see the teeth engage at each mesh line, tune tooth counts and input speed, and watch how the same ω·N conservation law that governs the flat diagram plays out as physical rotation.

⚙ Under the hood

Interact with three physically meshed spur gears in a 3D space. Manipulate the omega ratio to observe realistic tooth meshing and gear rotation.
