Potash Underground Borer 2D — Cutter-Head Specific Energy
Interactive 2D side-view of a potash continuous-miner cutter head: set RPM, depth of cut and seam strength to drive a real specific-energy cutting model, watch broken ore fall onto the conveyor, and read live torque, power and production rate.
The 3D version of this sim is a decorative rotating-drum scene shared across many machine pages, with stats produced by sine-wave animation rather than any real cutting model. This 2D companion instead builds the actual mechanic the title promises: a specific-energy cutting model used in real continuous-miner and TBM engineering, where RPM, depth of cut, seam UCS and pick wear drive torque, power, advance rate and production rate, and the on-screen cutter, rock face and conveyor all move at rates derived from those same numbers.
Set cutter RPM, depth of cut, seam strength (UCS) and cutter-head diameter to drive a specific-energy cutting model; toggle worn picks to see efficiency drop, and watch torque, power, advance rate and production rate update live alongside the animated cutter, rock face and conveyor.
