Floating Desalination City: Reverse-Osmosis Plant (2D)

A 2D reverse-osmosis desalination plant: control feed salinity, pump pressure, recovery ratio and energy recovery, and watch membrane flux, permeate/brine salinity, energy use and city population served update live.

The 3D version renders a generic floating-city scene shared across many unrelated titles with no real desalination physics behind it. This 2D companion replaces that decoration with the actual engineering: a solution-diffusion reverse-osmosis membrane governed by van't Hoff's osmotic-pressure law and the standard Jw = Aw(ΔP − Δπ) / Js = B·C transport equations, so pressure, salinity, recovery and energy-recovery controls genuinely drive flux, water quality, energy use and the population the plant can supply.
