A smart grid's advanced metering infrastructure reports a home's total electricity draw as one continuous number — never which appliance is using it. This simulator renders that aggregate power trace as a scrolling 3D bar chart and runs a real Hart-style non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM) algorithm on it: every step change in total power is measured, compared against each appliance's known steady-state signature, and matched (or rejected as noise) to infer which device just switched on or off. Toggle the kettle, washer, AC, EV charger and lights yourself, let the fridge cycle in the background exactly like a real compressor, and tune the edge-detection threshold and meter noise to see disaggregation accuracy rise and fall in real time.
