Grid-scale energy storage does not have to mean lithium or a mountain reservoir — liquid air storage compresses and cools ordinary atmospheric air into a cryogenic liquid using off-peak electricity, then lets it boil and expand through a turbine to give that energy back on demand. This simulator renders a full 3D charge/discharge plant — compressor, insulated cryogenic tank and expansion turbine — and drives the physically grounded liquefaction and expansion energetics behind it: adjust the charge and discharge power, the fraction of cold and waste heat recuperated between half-cycles, and the ambient intake temperature, and watch the tank fill level, instantaneous grid power and round-trip efficiency respond in real time as the plant auto-cycles between charging and discharging.
