Thermal energy storage (TES) decouples when heat is collected from when it is used, letting a solar, industrial or grid heat source keep delivering power long after the source itself has stopped. This simulation models a two-tank molten-salt TES system: charge it to pump cold salt through a heater into the hot tank, discharge it to draw hot salt through a power block back into the cold tank, or leave it idle and watch passive heat loss slowly cool the reservoir. Adjust capacity, charge/discharge power and the insulation loss rate to see how storage duration, state of charge and net power all respond.
