Data centers and telecom infrastructure are among the fastest-growing consumers of electricity, and the single number operators watch to judge efficiency is PUE — Power Usage Effectiveness, the ratio of total facility power to the power actually delivered to servers. This simulator models a 40-rack data hall: raise server load and the racks glow hotter and draw more IT power; lower the cooling setpoint and the chiller works harder; drop the outdoor air temperature and the free-cooling economizer kicks in, bypassing the mechanical chiller and pulling PUE down toward best-in-class values; shift the grid's renewable mix and watch the carbon-emission rate fall independently of PUE itself. Live readouts track IT power, cooling power, total facility power, economizer effectiveness, rack inlet temperature and CO₂ output as the numbers respond in real time.
