This simulation renders a hydrogen electrolysis cell at electrode scale: two plates sit in a water electrolyte, ions drift between them under the applied field, and gas bubbles nucleate at each electrode — hydrogen at the cathode, oxygen at the anode — then rise and escape the liquid. Orbit the cell and adjust applied voltage, electrolyte concentration and temperature to see how they drive current density, gas production rate and overall cell efficiency.
