🧪 Streaming Setup Simulation
Interactive live-streaming setup simulator: tune encoder bitrate, upload bandwidth, framerate and buffer depth, and watch a real leaky-bucket encoder buffer fill, drain and drop frames in 3D exactly as OBS/broadcast pipelines do.
This simulation demonstrates the technical aspects involved in setting up a streaming channel or broadcast, modelled as a real leaky-bucket encoder buffer: frames of encoded video are generated at your chosen framerate and bitrate, queued into a 3D buffer silo, and drained out to the network at your chosen upload bandwidth. Push the encoder bitrate above the available bandwidth for long enough and the buffer fills up and starts dropping frames — exactly the mechanism behind real-world streaming stutter and quality loss. Resolution presets show a recommended-bitrate reference so you can see when your settings are actually well matched to the stream you're producing, with live readouts for buffer occupancy, dropped frames and effective delivered throughput.
This simulation demonstrates the technical aspects involved in setting up a streaming channel or broadcast. It highlights considerations such as audio and video quality settings, bandwidth optimization, and platform selection for distribution.
