Green Fiscal Multiplier (2D): Growth vs Emissions Decoupling Simulator

Interactive 2D fiscal-policy simulator: split public stimulus between green and fossil capital, watch a Keynesian multiplier grow GDP while a decoupling elasticity determines how fast emissions intensity falls, tracked live on a scrolling GDP/emissions chart and a green-vs-brown capital skyline.

This 2D companion models the same stylised economy as the 3D version: public fiscal stimulus splits between green capital (renewables, retrofits, transit infrastructure) and brown capital (legacy fossil energy and extraction), each accumulating and depreciating as its own stock. A Keynesian fiscal multiplier — set by how much of every respent dollar leaks out through saving, taxation, or imports — turns that injection into GDP growth, while a decoupling elasticity determines how much a greener capital mix reduces the emissions generated per dollar of output. A flat capital skyline shows green and brown stocks growing side by side, while a scrolling line chart tracks GDP and emissions-vs-baseline over simulated years, alongside numeric readouts for GDP, the active multiplier, emissions relative to baseline, and cumulative green vs brown jobs created.
