Bee Forage Calendar (2D)

Chart-first 2D companion to the 3D hedgerow: scrub through the year and watch a monthly nectar bar chart, a bloom timeline for ten UK trees and shrubs, and foraging bees respond in real time.

Ecology & Conservation Biology2DModerate60 FPS📱 Mobile-adapted⇄ 3D version

This 2D companion drives the same UK bloom-calendar data as the 3D hedgerow through a flat, chart-first view: ten trees and shrubs are drawn along a hedge line with a real flowering window each, a monthly nectar bar chart shows the whole year at a glance, and bee dots swarm whichever plants are in bloom, weighted by nectar value — so switching planting site or hiding the shrub layer visibly opens forage gaps in both the drawing and the chart, without needing to orbit a 3D scene to read them.
