What does the coverage statistic mean?

Coverage is the share of revealed real future points that landed inside the model's stated 95% confidence band. Over many cycles it should track close to 95% — if it runs persistently lower, the model's noise assumption is too optimistic for that data.

How is this different from the 3D version?
