🩻 Iterative CT Reconstruction in 3D — Low-Dose Noise Reduction

3D companion to the 2D iterative reconstruction simulator: a rotating CT gantry scans a phantom, the sinogram is built from real line integrals with Poisson photon noise, and the slice is reconstructed live with filtered back-projection, weighted iterative updates, an edge-preserving model-based penalty or a denoiser. The reconstruction is shown as a displaced height surface so noise appears as real 3D roughness. Drag the lesions and the noise ROI inside the gantry and watch noise, CNR and the noise power spectrum respond.
