Dual-Energy CT Material Decomposition — 3D
A rotating dual-spectrum gantry orbits a 3D phantom in real depth — genuine Z³/E³ photoelectric attenuation physics decomposes embedded iodine, calcium and uric-acid inclusions from their paired low/high-energy measurements, live.
This is a genuine three-dimensional port of the site's 2D dual-energy CT simulator, reusing its exact photoelectric/Compton attenuation model and 2×2 material-decomposition linear system — not a decorative reskin. Where the 2D version drew a flat side-view schematic of the gantry, this scene renders a real orbiting CT gantry: two X-ray sources sweep around a 3D phantom on a literal ring, and three material inclusions — iodine, calcium, and a uric-acid crystal — sit embedded in genuine 3D space, each recoverable purely from its own paired low/high-energy attenuation measurement, exactly as a real dual-energy scanner does it voxel by voxel.
Same physics as the 2D original — photoelectric attenuation scaling ∝Z³/E³, an energy-independent Compton term, and a 2×2 linear system μ_L = a·(μ/ρ)₁,L + b·(μ/ρ)₂,L / μ_H = a·(μ/ρ)₁,H + b·(μ/ρ)₂,H solved per inclusion — with the gantry rotation, dual X-ray sources, and material inclusions now real spatial 3D objects instead of a flat canvas diagram.
