Every mobile app lives or dies on how fast newly acquired users stop coming back — and analytics teams project that curve into the future long before 90 days of real data exist, by fitting early D1/D7 retention to a power-law decay model. This simulator generates a continuous stream of daily install cohorts and renders each one's retention decay as a row of 3D bars on a live cohort grid, exactly the "staircase" shape seen in Amplitude or Mixpanel retention reports. Tune day-1 retention, the decay exponent, daily install growth and ARPDAU to see how the shape of the curve changes DAU, cumulative installs and the projected 90-day lifetime value per user in real time.
