Every mobile app lives or dies on how fast newly acquired users stop coming back — and analytics teams project that curve into the future long before 90 days of real data exist, by fitting early D1/D7 retention to a power-law decay model. This 2D simulator generates a continuous stream of daily install cohorts and renders each one's retention decay as a row on a live, pannable cohort heatmap, exactly the "staircase" shape seen in Amplitude or Mixpanel retention reports, alongside a decay-curve chart and a DAU/installs time series. Tune day-1 retention, the decay exponent, daily install growth and ARPDAU to see how the shape of the curve changes DAU, cumulative installs and the projected 90-day lifetime value per user in real time.
