Every day, sunlit phytoplankton at the ocean surface fix atmospheric CO₂ into organic carbon, and a fraction of it sinks into the deep sea as marine snow before bacteria can respire it back into CO₂. This simulator renders that water column in 3D: hundreds of sinking particles carry carbon from the surface toward a seafloor 1000 m down, fading from fresh green to decayed brown as remineralization consumes them along the way. Tune primary production, sinking speed and water temperature and watch the live export-flux and sequestration-efficiency readouts respond exactly as the underlying exponential attenuation model predicts — the same first-order kinetics used to fit real sediment-trap flux data.
