Industrial Symbiosis Network
Interactive 3D eco-industrial park: byproduct streams (waste heat, CO2, slag, fly ash, scrap, biomass) are matched between facilities under a distance and capacity constraint, with live waste-diversion and virgin-resource-savings readouts.
An eco-industrial park is more than a collection of factories on shared land — it works when one plant's waste becomes another's raw material. This simulator lays out a set of facilities in 3D, each producing one byproduct and needing one or more others, and greedily builds a pipeline network between them under a distance and capacity budget, exactly the kind of matching problem real industrial-symbiosis planners (following the Kalundborg model) solve when siting a park. Adjust the number of facilities, the maximum economical pipeline reach, and each plant's connection capacity, and watch the diverted-waste and virgin-input-saved percentages respond as the network reconfigures.
Explore an eco-industrial park where byproducts like waste heat, CO2, slag and scrap are matched between facilities under a pipeline-distance and capacity constraint, with live waste-diversion and virgin-resource-savings readouts.
