Iceberg Melting — Archimedes' Law & Sea Level (2D)
Interactive 2D side-view simulator: adjust air/water temperature and watch a floating iceberg melt and calve while a land glacier melts alongside it, with live ice volume, melt %, and sea-level readouts showing why floating ice barely moves sea level but land ice does.
This 2D companion ports the 3D iceberg's Archimedes-law mechanic to a plain side view: an iceberg floats roughly 90% submerged, and raising the temperature slider melts it and eventually triggers calving, while a land glacier alongside it shrinks on the same clock. The sea-level readout barely moves as the iceberg melts — it already displaced its own weight in water — but climbs steadily as the land glacier adds new meltwater, making the sea-ice-vs-land-ice distinction that drives real sea-level rise directly visible.
2D Canvas iceberg simulator built on Archimedes' principle, comparing sea-ice melt (no sea-level change) against land-glacier melt (real sea-level rise) in real time.
