Salinity Gradient Power — Osmotic Flux/Power Curve (2D)
Interactive 2D pressure-retarded osmosis characteristic-curve simulator: watch the van't Hoff osmotic pressure, the linear water-flux line and the parabolic power-density curve plotted live against backpressure, alongside a flat membrane-flow schematic.
This is the 2D-native counterpart to the 3D pressure-retarded osmosis chamber simulator. Rather than rendering fresh and salt water chambers in perspective, it plots the underlying thermodynamics directly: a live characteristic curve of water flux and power density against applied backpressure ΔP, with the van't Hoff osmotic pressure, the maximum-power point at Δπ/2 and the current operating point all marked on the same axes — the same way a process engineer reads a plant's performance envelope off a datasheet. A flat membrane-flow schematic beneath the graph shows the same flux as crossing dots, without any 3D perspective.
