Every pharmaceutical tablet begins as a loose bed of powder granules dropped into a die and squeezed between two punches. This simulator renders that die in 3D: hundreds of granules pack down as punch pressure rises, following the real Heckel equation that pharmaceutical scientists use to characterise how a powder densifies under compaction. Drag the pressure slider and watch the bed height fall, the relative density climb toward 100%, and an illustrative hardness index track how quickly the compact gains mechanical strength as its last pores close — then switch between a ductile (low yield-pressure) and brittle (high yield-pressure) material preset to see how differently two real excipients respond to the same punch force.
