Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) slows spoilage by sealing fresh food into an engineered gas blend instead of ordinary air. This simulator models the two processes that actually set the atmosphere inside a real package over time: the produce's own respiration, which consumes O2 and releases CO2 at a rate governed by Michaelis–Menten kinetics and Q10 temperature scaling, and diffusion of both gases through the packaging film, driven by the concentration gradient against outside air. Adjust the film's barrier level, the storage temperature, the produce loading and the initial gas flush, and watch the O2/CO2/N2 balance — and the product's live quality index — evolve inside a 3D package rendered with real molecule counts.
