Firework Colors: Metal Salt Flame Test (3D)

3D atomic-emission model of a burning firework star: pick a metal salt and its real known emission wavelength — not an arbitrary color — sets the flame color, while temperature only changes brightness.

Each burning star launched here gets its color from a real atomic emission line, not a color picker: pick a metal salt (or blend two), and the simulator looks up its known emission wavelength and converts that wavelength directly into an RGB color, the same way the human eye perceives a spectral line. Flame temperature and fuel amount change how bright and vigorous the burn looks, but never the hue — a faithful model of why a strontium-red firework stays red whether it burns hot or cool.
