🎡 Ferris Wheel at Night (2D)
A plain-Canvas2D side view of a lit Ferris wheel: dial in the rotation speed, bulb colour and how many cabins glow, and read the wheel's angle, angular velocity, RPM, rotation period and rim speed straight off the live readout panel.
This 2D companion strips the Ferris wheel down to a flat side view so the rotational kinematics are the whole point instead of a side effect of orbiting a 3D scene: the wheel's rotation speed, its 64 rim bulbs' colour, and how many of its 16 cabins glow are all live controls, and a readout panel tracks the wheel's angle θ, angular velocity ω, revolutions per minute, rotation period T = 2π / |ω|, and the cabins' tangential rim speed v = ω·r in real time. The cabins themselves stay axis-aligned as the wheel turns beneath them — the same rigid-body counter-rotation the 3D scene renders as a gimbal, here just a box that never rotates while its pivot orbits the hub.
Canvas2D Ferris wheel driven by real rotational kinematics — angle, angular velocity, RPM, period and rim speed all update live from a single ω controlled by the rotation-speed slider.
