Dose-Response Curve Lab — Therapeutic Window (2D)
2D companion simulator: plot a live Hill-equation dose-response curve on a log-dose axis, drag the dose marker to find the therapeutic window between the minimum effective dose and the toxic threshold, and flip on a Brain-Cousens hormesis (biphasic) curve to see low-dose stimulation turn into high-dose inhibition.
The 3D version of this simulator renders enhancement dosing as particles lighting up across an orbiting cell field. This 2D companion strips that away and shows the underlying pharmacology the way it is actually plotted in practice: a Hill-equation effect curve and a separate toxicity curve on a shared logarithmic dose axis, with the therapeutic window — the dose range that is high enough to work but below the toxic threshold — shaded between them. Dragging the dose marker directly on the chart (or the slider) moves a live readout of effect, risk, and net benefit; toggling hormesis swaps in a Brain-Cousens biphasic curve so you can see how a hormetic agent's low-dose stimulation flips into high-dose inhibition, a pattern the monotonic Hill curve alone cannot show.
A 2D companion to the 3D Biological Enhancement simulator: plot a live Hill-equation dose-response curve on a logarithmic dose axis, drag the dose marker directly on the chart to find the therapeutic window between the minimum effective dose and the toxic threshold, and flip on a Brain-Cousens hormesis (biphasic) curve to see low-dose stimulation turn into high-dose inhibition.
