Bacterial Growth Curve (2D): Lag, Log, Stationary & Death
A 2D Canvas culture dish driven by a real Monod-kinetics growth model — lag, exponential, stationary and death phases emerge from genuine nutrient depletion and waste build-up, not a pre-drawn curve.
This 2D companion drives the same Monod-kinetics growth model as the 3D version through a plain culture-dish view built for reading the biology rather than orbiting a scene: pick a species preset — a fast E. coli-like doubling time of twenty minutes, a medium soil-bacterium pace of five hours, or a slow M. tuberculosis-like day — or drag the initial population, nutrient, doubling-time and half-saturation sliders yourself, then watch the culture dish fill with cells whose colour tracks the live growth phase (blue while lagging, green while thriving, amber once nutrient-limited, red once toxin builds past the death threshold) while a running log₁₀(N) plot traces the same four-phase curve textbooks describe as emergent, not drawn: the population genuinely consumes nutrient, produces waste, and only slows once the numbers say it should.
2D Monod-kinetics culture-dish lab: lag, exponential, stationary and death phases emerge from a real nutrient-depletion and waste-accumulation model, with species presets and a live population-vs-time plot.
