V2X Cooperative Perception at a Blind Corner

A delivery truck blocks an autonomous car's own LIDAR/camera view of a pedestrian stepping into a blind intersection. Toggle V2X so a connected vehicle with a clear view shares the hazard instantly, and watch the stopping-distance margin flip between collision and safe stop.

An autonomous car approaches an intersection where a parked delivery truck blocks its own LIDAR and camera from seeing a pedestrian about to cross. Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication lets a second connected vehicle — already past the truck with a clear line of sight — broadcast the hazard's position over radio the instant it detects it, reaching the ego car regardless of what its own sensors can geometrically see. Toggle V2X, and tune ego speed, occluder size and broadcast range to see exactly how many meters of stopping margin communication buys over onboard perception alone.
