A translucent-cutaway Holstein in a parlour shows milk synthesis from ~450 L of blood per litre, Wood's lactation curve, feed-energy balance, oxytocin let-down and machine pulsation. Change feed, days in milk, milking interval, vacuum and pulsation ratio, and test 12 h versus 16 h intervals against an analytic model.
