🧪 Online Learning Online Engagement Simulation
Watch a cohort of virtual students' engagement decay during an online lecture, and see how quiz frequency, breaks and content interactivity fight the drop-off — live retention stats and a real decay model.
Every online lecture fights the same curve: attention peaks in the first minute and drains away unless something interrupts the drift. This simulator models a cohort of 40 virtual students, each with an individually varying resilience, whose engagement decays continuously according to a difficulty- and interactivity-weighted rate while scheduled quizzes and breaks pull it back up. Tune the lecture's difficulty, interactivity, quiz cadence and break cadence and watch the 3D grid of students rise and green as they re-engage, or sink and redden as they check out — with live cohort-wide retention stats tracking the trade-off in real time.
This simulation demonstrates techniques for maintaining student engagement in online learning environments through interactive activities and feedback mechanisms.
