This simulation puts a genuine generative AI in front of you: a compositional pattern-producing network (CPPN) that paints a 3×3 gallery of original images from nothing but coordinate math and its own weights, rendered live as textures on a floating grid in 3D. Above the gallery, an actual neural-graph diagram shows the selected image's input, hidden and output nodes with edges colored by real weight sign and thickness by magnitude — click any tile to make it the parent, then press Evolve to spawn nine mutated offspring, exactly the weight-perturbation operator used in real neuroevolution systems like NEAT. A mutation-rate slider controls how aggressively each generation departs from its parent, a complexity slider changes how many hidden nodes the network has to work with, and a diversity readout tracks how similar or different the current gallery is, turning artificial creativity into something you can steer, generation by generation, image by image.
